  • Do I need to buy a meal plan?
On-campus freshmen and sophomores (0-59 credit hours)
If you are under 21 years of age and unmarried, you are required to participate in a University Meal Plan and will automatically be enrolled in the Eagle 15 plan if you do not make a selection. Students can upgrade from the Eagle 15 plan to one of our other options if it better suits their needs.

Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students (60+ credit hours)
You may choose any plan or opt-out of the traditional meal plans. Please be aware that the $100 Flex Dining Dollars Program may reflect on all student billing, regardless of status or residency. For more information, visit Meal plan considerations. These students may also upgrade to one of our traditional meal plans if they see fit.
  • Will my meal plan auto renew for next semester?
For fall semesters students must choose a meal plan if they want something other than the required default plans mentioned above.  Remember the defaults are based on status/total credit hours.  ALWAYS CHECK YOUR STUDENT BILL FOR ALL CHARGES INCLUDING MEAL PLANS.

For spring semester students you DO NOT need to reorder your meal plan if you are a student who...
    • will continue your fall meal plan contract (Eagle 15, $750 Flex, $1000 Flex, Weekly 10, Weekly 10+, 30 Block, or Unlimited meal plans); or will be graduating prior to the spring semester. If you are graduating, you must contact the Eagle Card Office at eaglecard@moreheadstate.edu to discontinue your meal plan. Include your FULL NAME, MSU ID, and INTENT TO GRADUATE.

*You SHOULD reorder your meal plan for spring  if you are a student who...wishes to change your meal plan for spring; or will become a Junior, and therefore wishes to change your default meal plan from Eagle 15.

  • Will unused meals or Flex Dollars roll over?
Meals do not role over.  Weekly plans run from Sunday – Saturday.  Meals reset every Sunday morning based on what weekly plan you have.  For the 30 block meals do not role over from semester to semester.  Flex may role over from fall to spring.  See answer below.
  • Do unspent Flex Dollars roll over to the next semester?
Unused Flex Dollars will carry over from the fall to the spring semester as long as a student has a spring meal plan, even the $100 flex dining dollars. Any unused Flex Dollars at the end of the spring semester will not carry over and are non¬refundable. Funds for the 2018-2019 academic year will expire on May 10, 2019.
  • If I have already purchased a meal plan, can I change it?                                                                                                                                                                                                                           You can change your meal plan up to the last day to change classes and to pay in full or completion of your Financial Responsibility Agreement (FSA).
  • What is Meal Exchange?
To add greater flexibility to meal plans, meals, intended to be used in residential dining halls, can be “exchanged” for a meal from dedicated meal exchange menus at on campus restaurants.
Don’t worry - simplicity and convenience are all within reach. Once you have a meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card and the meals and points are deducted from your meal plan account.
